Artist of the Month

One of my firsties was selected as Artist of the Month at our school! I'm so proud of him!!! Check out his awesome artwork!!!

Indoor Recess Fun, a Warm Classroom and NEW Computers!!!

With all the crazy weather we have been having, my firsties have had a lot of indoor recess. But that doesn't stop them have having a great time, (and learning at the same time!) check out these awesome sight word towers!!!

It may be cold outside, but it has been super warm in our classroom. So yesterday we decided to finish our math lesson in the library, where it was nice and cool! This class can learn anywhere!!!

But then.... The maintenance man came to fix our heat!!!!

Yesterday we got 24 new computers for K-1 classrooms!!! My firsties are sooooooooooo excited!!! They love them!!! They were hard at work on Lexia this morning!  They are the best!!!!

Valentines, Word of the Day Cards, and the Tooth Fairy!!!

My firsties have been very busy! They made these adorable valentines for they parents.

We decided to playa fun game with our sight words to help us get ready for our big quiz. They had a blast!!!!

Last Friday we got a special visit from the Tooth Fairy! My firsties learned all kinds of important things about keeping their smiles healthy and bright!

Story Sequence!

Yesterday my firsties learned about how to write a story. They used sequence to help tell their stories. First they drew pictures to show the different events in their story. Then they used those pictures to help make sentences. They turned out amazing. I was so proud of their effort! Check out their work!

A few weeks ago my firsties learned about MLK and the dreams he had for our world. Then my kiddos worked on their own dreams they have for the world. When they were finished they made their own MLK and attached it to their writing. They turned out adorable! Check them out!

New Years 2016

A little late, but worth the wait! My firsties worked so hard on their awesome New Years resolutions! They turned out great!

100th Day of School!

Yesterday was the 100th day of school and boy did my firsties have a blast! They counted ten different groups of ten to make a delicious trail mix, and even make a necklace with 100 fruit loops on it! They were little counting machines!!!! It was awesome! Then they had a blast writing about what they will be like when they are 100 years old. They even drew what they will look like! It was hilarious!
