Reindeer Writing

Super excited to share my firsties adorable reindeer writing and artwork. They worked really hard to have great stories with a beginning, middle and end. Then after a few day of writing and editing their work, they wrote their final draft. Then they got to create their very own reindeer to go along with their stories. I just love how unique and different each reindeer turned out. I hope you love them as much as we do!

Super, Magic, Bossy, Silent 'e'

My firsties have been working hard on learning the long o sound with CVCe.  They loved taking home their QR watches with long vowel videos.  Today we made 'e' wands to help us with our word work!  Check it out!

Writing with Sequence!

The last few weeks my firsties have been working hard on transforming their writing! I'm so proud of their effort. They are writing stories with sequence, instead of just sentences describing what they drew. Then, they got the opportunity to peer edited their stories. Multicultural Night

We had a great turn out for yesterday's Multicultural Night.  Our class represented Italy.  My firsties really enjoyed learning a little bit about Italy this week.  They each got to make their own Italian flag, Italy's national flower (the white lily), and a gondola.  They did an awesome job helping one another, which was wonderful to see. A group of students from our school even performed on stage a traditional mexican dance.  One of our firsties, Mya, was in it and did such an AMAZING job. :-)

 

  

Burrrr!!!!!

It may be really cold out, but that doesn't stop my firsties from having a blast. All bundled up, enjoying recess with friends.  They are so stinkin' cute!

Thanksgiving Dinner for Lunch!

Today our class had the opportunity to enjoy a delicious thanksgiving meal at lunch. Thank you to all the family members that came to join their child for lunch. The kids loved having you there.
